Relief after Biddy went missing

The daughter of Australian comedian Fiona O’Loughlin has been found after being reported missing to police.

The comic tweeted: ‘One Biddy O'Loughlin Found. Thank you Thank you Thank you.’

Her message follows almost 12 hours of angst after 25-year-old Biddy, a stand-up herself, first went missing.

O’Loughlin initially sent out an appeal on Twitter: ‘Please RT, my daughter Biddy has been registered by Victorian police as a missing person’ - a message that was re-tweeted hundreds of times by fans.

Soon afterwards Biddy sent a text message from a payphone telling her father that she was ‘OK’ – but not revealing her whereabouts.

Biddy performed her show The Girl Who Thought She Was Irish at the 2011 Edinburgh Fringe, and has also performed stand-up in New York – see below – and at Belfast’s Out to Lunch Festival.

Her mother has previously spoken of Biddy's talent for comedy, saying: ‘I'll admit it. She's bigger and better than me... Biddy absolutely savages me on stage.’
