Attack revealed in her autobiography

Amanda Holden has said that she was once sexually assaulted by a ‘famous comedian’.

The Britain’s Got Talent judge does not name the star, but says the attack took place more than a decade ago in a corridor at a public event.

She was married to Les Dennis at the time, but said she did not tell him of the incident, which took place.

Writing in her autobiography, No Holding Back, which is released later this month,Holden, 42, said the attack left her feeling ‘utterly worthless’.

She writes: ‘On my way back from the loo I was cornered by a famous comedian, who tried to kiss me and put his hands in places they shouldn’t have been.

'I was scared and tried to push him away, making light of it so he would leave without causing a fuss, but he wasn’t put off.

‘As I tried to fight him off, I caught sight of our reflection in a mirror. My body went limp, and I just stood there as he groped and nuzzled me, observing myself from afar.’
