Dawn French to play James Corden's mum

In BBC Two's The Wrong Mans

Dawn French is to play James Corden's mum in his new comedy-thriller.

The Vicar Of Dibley star has been added to the cast of BBC Two’s The Wrong Mans, which Corden co-wrote with friend Mathew Baynton.

The plot involves two office workers – Corden and Horrible Histories star Baynton – who become unwittingly caught up in a conspiracy.

It also stars Dan Renton Skinner, temporarily ditching his Angelos Epithemiou character; Rebecca Front as the head of MI5; and Sarah Solemani from BBC Three's Him And Her.

Meanwhile, Silent Witness star Emilia Fox and Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels actor Nick Moran will be the mysterious duo on the trail of the hapless duo,

Executive producer Mark Freeland said: ‘We are trying to do a comedy with explosions, a lot of running about, murder, extortion, friendship and love.’
