Katt 'puts his children at risk'

Drug and gun arrest for Williams

American comedian Katt Williams has been arrested for allegedly endangering four of his children.

The troubled stand-up was investigated for supposedly keeping numerous guns and illegal drugs in his Los Angeles home.

But the defiant comic told gossip website TMZ, which broke the story: ‘How do you keep kids safe without guns?’

He claimed his weapons were in a secure box and said there were no drugs at his house except on weed, but added: ‘Weed is not a drug.’

He was held on $100,000 bail and his children placed in protective custody.

Williams has eight children – one natural son and seven adopted.

This is the latest in a string of legal woes for the 43-year-old - which now also involve the American tax authorities. For Williams has been hit by another lawsuit by the IRS, who say he owes them $4million in unpaid taxes.

He is also facing cases of assault.
