Sharon meets the women who've had a midlife crisis

Sharon Horgan is to front a second documentary for Channel 4 in the New Year – this one examining women who underwent a midlife crises.

The show will air in the second week of January, immediately following Horgan’s two-part look at various unusual marriages.

On The Verge Of A Midlife Crisis is described as a ‘humorous journey’ in which the 42-year-old comedian meets six women who changed their lives dramatically to find out what happened and how they coped and how they even transformed themselves.

‘Can they make Sharon feel better about approaching middle age?,’ asks the Channel 4 blurb.

The subjects includes a fiftysomething woman with a love of toyboys, a 47-year-old plastic surgery addict and a high-flyer who downsized dramatically to live on a houseboat.

The series will follow the two-part Secrets Of A Good Marriage With Sharon Horgan, which similarly examines six real-life – but unusual – couples.
