C4 orders Paddy McGuinness show

Clip fest set to air this autumn

Channel 4 have picked up Paddy McGuinness's new clip show, Paddy’s TV Guide.

The broadcaster has ordered eight episodes of the show, which features 'the funniest and most outrageous' extracts from bizarre television, following a pilot this summer.

Channel 4 commissioning editor Tom Beck said: 'The combination of Paddy’s brilliant eye for detail and TV’s most peculiar shows is going to bring some hilarious offerings.'

McGuinness said: 'I can't wait to start on Paddy's TV Guide. It incorporates three of my favourite things. Laughing, sitting down and watching telly.”

The show - made by ITV Studios – is likely to air later this autumn.

Take Me Out host McGuinness started his career on Channel 4 – thanks to Peter Kay and Phoenix Nights.
