'Tapeface' makes his London stage debut

The Boy With Tape On His Face is to make his West End debut with a run of 22 shows this Christmas.

The silent act – who won the Panel Prize at the Edinburgh Fringe this year – will be at the Duchess Theatre from December 17 to January 5.

New Zealander Sam Wills, who is behind the character, said: ‘For more than five years, I have had a West End season on my list of goals and I'm very happy that finally what seemed like a dream is becoming a reality. I am quietly screaming with excitement!’

Wills, a former street performer, is currently on a 38-date UK tour of the same show, More Tape.

His TV credits include The Royal Variety Performance, BBC Comedy Proms with Tim Minchin at the Royal Albert Hall and on ITV’s Comedy Rocks with Jason Manford.
