Sacha Baron Cohen to star in spy spoof

– which he also wrote

Sacha Baron Cohen is to make a spoof James Bond-style film – after selling the idea to Paramount Studios for around £1million.

The movie has not yet been given a title, but Hollywood trade paper Variety reports that it will follow a secret agent forced to go on the run with his long-lost brother, a moronic soccer hooligan.

It added that the pitch, which Baron Cohen put together with co-writer Phil Johnston, was sold in the ‘high six- to low seven-figure range’.

Baron Cohen's last film, The Dictator, has grossed more than $160 million worldwide.
