Tim Vine to host ITV quiz show

Don't Blow The Inheritance

Tim Vine is to host a new daytime quiz show for ITV1 called Don't Blow The Inheritance.

The format will see different generations of the same family teaming up. The older generation build up an ‘inheritance’ fund worth thousands of pounds, which they pass on to younger relatives who have to retain it over the later rounds.

This will be Vine’s first major TV role since he announced he was quitting Lee Mack’s BBC One sitcom Not Going Out, saying he ‘fancied a change’.

But he is no stranger to game shows, having hosted Channel 5’s early quiz show Whittle and Channel 4’s Fluke – as well as being a regular on Countdown’s Dictionary Corner, where he can be seen this week.

Producers say that Don't Blow The Inheritance, which is being recorded later this month, is ‘warm, fun and entertaining’. It is being made by 12 Yard, whose credits include Eggheads, Coach Trip and The National Lottery: In It To Win It.
