Christopher Lloyd joins Only Fools USA

Christopher Lloyd, the actor best known for playing Doc Brown in the Back To The Future films, is to play Grandad in the American remake of Only Fools And Horses.

BJ Bales – best known for playing an 'annoying guy' in PSP commercials in the States, has also been cast as Trigger, who has been reinvented as a 'ghetto-talking con man' and Del and Rodney's nemesis.

As previously announced, comics John Leguizamo and Dustin Ybarra will play Del Boy and Rodney in the new version, for the ABC network.

David Jason has previously said he doubts the show will work in the US, saying: 'They can do brilliant comedy [in America] but I don't see that they can bring off Fools and Horses. I don't see that it will travel across the pond.
