Rhys Darby to tour UK

First couple of dates announced

Flight Of The Conchords star Rhys Darby is to return to the UK for a new stand-up tour.

The dates this summer will be the first the Kiwi comic has played in the UK for nearly three years.

Only two London shows have so far been announced – at the Shepherds Bush Empire on July 20 and 21 – but these are set to be part of a nationwide tour. It’s believed he may also have a run at the Edinburgh Fringe again, where he last performed in 2009.

Darby has also appeared in the films Yes Man and The Boat That Rocked – and appeared opposite Vic Reeves in last year’s Channel 4 Comedy Showcase about health and safety officers, The Fun Police.

Tickets for the Shepherds Bush shows go on sale this Friday.

Here’s a clip from his last stand-up DVD, Imagine That!
