Animated series for Demetri Martin?

Demetri Martin is reportedly set to launch his own animated series on American TV.

The one-time Perrier-winner, who is returning to the UK for two dates at the Leicester Square Theatre in October, is said to be close to signing a deal with Fox, which already airs The Simpsons and Family Guy.

According to industry website Deadline, Martin would voice the lead character and be executive producer on the show, a family workplace comedy set in the California Redwoods.

Martin has often used drawings in his comedy, including his Comedy Central show, Important Things with Demetri Martin, which aired in 2009 and 2010.
