Sharing the happiness...

Radio break for Jason Cook

A pilot episode of a radio show comedian Jason Cook recorded with no intention of being broadcast has been deemed good enough to make it to air.

The one-off, Jason Cook’s Happiness HQ will now go out on Radio 4 at 11pm on Thursday May 19.

The show features Cook, his stand-up sidekick Chris Ramsey, and his mum Patricia asking people about what makes them happy, and exploring ideas for how to lead a more contented life.

Cook said: ‘We are beyond chuffed about this. The whole team has worked very hard doing run throughs and preparing for the show, here's hoping we can take it to a series and spread a bit of happiness via the airwaves.’

Head of BBC radio comedy Jane Berthoud added: ‘Im delighted that we are working with Jason Cook. He is a very funny man and this is a great format for him.’
