Omid Djalili announces tour

First in three years

Omid Djalili has announced his first live tour in three years.

The Iranian-English comic is to play 74 dates, spread from mid-October to February next year, when he ends with two dates at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.

Since his last tour in 2008, Djalili has appeared in two series of his own BBC One show, played Fagin in the West End version of Oliver! and starred in the movie The Infidel, written by his friend David Baddiel.

Djalili said: ‘I've mulled and mused. A lot has happened in my life. I've teetered on the edge of oblivion. I'm back. Let's see what happens.’

The show, Tour Of Duty, kicks off in Shrewsbury on October 14, and tickets go on sale this Friday. Click here for dates.
