More Dirk Gently on the way

BBC4 orders more episodes

Dirk Gently, Douglas Adams's 'holistic detective' is to return to BBC 4.

The channel has commissioned three more hour-long episodes of the comedy-drama starring Stephen Mangan to be broadcast later this year.

It follows the success of last year's pilot – not to mention the novels, a play and a Radio 4 series.

Writer Howard Overman will again work on the adaptation, to be made by ITV Studios.
