Who knew? Bankers' Xmas do sucks...

Comic ordered off stage

A bunch of bankers booked a comedian for their Christmas party – then threw him out when he started making fun of them.

It is understood Scott Charlton started mocking the audience from Nationwide when he spotted one of them texting on his phone during the act.

He turned on the banker, saying: ‘I’ll have a job long after you,’ and adding sarcastically: ‘Your mum and dad must be so proud.’

The former Butlin’s redcoat also used such old putdowns as: ’You shouldn't be drinking on an empty head.’

After about 20 minutes, one of the organisers of the event at Bournemouth’s Royal Bath Hotel told him: ‘We’ve had enough now.’

Charlton told them: ‘I’ll tell you when I’ve finished. Any respect we had for bankers went a long time ago.’

A Nationwide spokesman told Bournemouth Echo: ‘The comedian made comments towards audience members that were felt to be inappropriate, so he was politely asked to curtail his performance.’
