Comedy Central snaps up stand-ups

More DVDs to air on cable channel

Comedy Central has brought the rights to air more stand-up DVDs, including Michael McIntyre’s debut show.

Live & Laughing, recorded at London’s Hammersmith Apollo, will debut on the cable channel on May 1.

The station has also acquired shows from Dara O Briain, Lee Evans and Sean Lock – all stable-mates of McIntyre at the Off The Kerb comedy agency.

Dara O’Briain Talks Funny has its premiere on May 8, while Sean Lock’s tour will first air on June 5. Both shows were recorded at the Hammersmith Apollo in 2008.

Finally, Lee Evans: Big - Live At The 02, also from 2008, debuts on July 24.
