Noel 'to star in Paddington movie'

Boosh star to play half-man, half-beast

Noel Fielding has reportedly signed up to star in a new movie version of Paddington Bear.

He will play Paddington's cousin - a half man, half beast who also comes from Darkest Peru.

The movie will combine live-action and computer generated imagery in the manner of family films like Stuart Little – and is to be made by Paul King, who also directed the Mighty Boosh shows.

King is writing the show with Hamish McColl, co-creator of the Morecambe And Wise show The Play What I Wrote and co-writer of Mr Bean's Holiday.

An unnamed source told The Sun: ‘Noel loves working with Paul. The film will have animation aspects to it and Noel is a visual artist as well as comic. He had a big input into the visuals of Mighty Boosh. So he will add his own touch to the movie's creation.’
