Russell Brand, Steve Carell and Flight Of The Conchords star Jemaine Clement are appear together in a new Hollywood blockbuster.

The trio will all provide voices in the animated film Despicable Me, which is due out next year.

Produced by Ice Age film-maker Chris Meledrandi, Carell will play the villainous Groo, who plots to steal the moon.

Last week, it was announced that Brand was to play a reluctant stand-in Easter bunny in the family comedy I Hop, which mixes animation and live action.
