Booky Wooky is latey watey

Delay for Russell Brand's new memoirs

Russell Brand's My Booky Wook 2 has been pulled from release this autumn.

The sequel to his 2007 bestseller had been planned for release in October, in time to cash in on the lucrative Christmas market.

But the memoir, subtitled This Time It's Personal, has now been postponed because of ‘work commitments’, according to publisher HarperCollins.

The book is billed as ‘an unforgettable and raucous ride through chat shows, tabloid scandals and Hollywood, all the while detailing Brand's search for the contentment that fame can't quite grant’ – and is now expected out in autumn 2010.

However, the pre-Christmas period this year will see a glut of comedians’ books hitting the shelves, with releases from Peter Kay, Jack Dee, Simon Pegg, Dara O'Briain and Frankie Boyle.
