Frankie Boyle in Grand Theft Auto

Cameo in new video game add-on

Frankie Boyle has followed in the footsteps of Ricky Gervais, by appearing in the Grand Theft Auto video game.

The Mock The Week star can be found in Liberty City’s Split Sides comedy club in the new add-on to GTA IV, The Lost And The Damned.

Jon Hicks, editor of the gaming website OXM said: ‘It's highlights from his live act plus at least one GTA IV in-joke.’

Rockstar, the company behind the hit release, even ‘motion captured’ Boyle to recreate his exact movements.

He is only the third comedian to perform as himself in the game. Ricky Gervais and Katt Williams were both in the main GTA IV release last year.

The Lost And The Damned can be downloaded from Xbox Live for 1600 Microsoft Points (£13.60). The Split Sides comedy club can be found on Frankfort Avenue, near Star Junction.
