Curb to return

David starts work on series 7

Larry David is to start work on a seventh series of Curb Your Enthusiasm later this year.

The new series will air early in 2009, about 15 months after the last run ended – but not as long as the 21-month gap between seasons five and six.

David rarely commits to new seasons of the show, telling cast and crew that each series will be the last and refusing to agree to deals longer than a year.

However, Hollywood trade journal Variety reports that another ten episodes are now in the pipeline, although HBO has not yet set a broadcast date.

At the end of the last series, Larry had separated from wife Cheryl, mirroring the real-life collapse of his marriage.
