Irrera arrested for drink-driving
Comic pulled over at 1am in LA
Stand-up Dom Irrera has been arrested in Los Angeles for alleged drink-driving.The Italian-American comic, who regularly visits the UK, was pulled over just before 1am local time, according to the TMZ website.
He is being held at North Hollywood police station on $5,000 bail, the site reports.
The 60-year-old has appeared at Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival and Kilkenny’s Cat Laughs Festival more often than any other American comic, and his screen credits include playing annoying prop comic Ronnie Kaye in Seinfeld.
Ironically, given today’s arrest, Irrera made a cameo appearance in 1998's The Big Lebowski as the limousine driver.
