Lucky Louis...

CK joins Gervais's film

American stand-up Louis CK has been signed up for Ricky Gervais's film This Side Of The Truth.

Gervais is writing, directing and starring in the Warner Bros. comedy, which is set in a world where lying doesn't exist. He plays Mark, a man who discovers an ability to fib, and uses it to seduce a woman.

Louis CK, who had his own HBO series Lucky Louis, has now signed up to play Gervais’s best friend, the Hollywood Reporter reveals.

Jennifer Garner has previously been cast as the object of Gervais’s affections, and Rob Lowe also has a role. Superbad star Jonah Hill will play Mark’s neighbour, who suffers depression.

This Side Of The Truth, which is due out next year, is Gervais’s feature directing debut. He is sharing the duties with his co-writer Matt Robinson.
