Lenny Henry hosts new viral clips show

Lenny Henry is to front a BBC One series recycling all the best viral videos from the internet.

A full six-part series has been commissioned following the success of a pilot episode which aired at Christmas.

Independent production house Tiger Aspect, which is making the show, said it was ‘an exciting and innovative new format… cherry-picking the funniest and most entertaining internet clips.’

The new series, called LennyHenry.TV, will air in the autumn.

Tiger Aspect’s Clive Tulloh told TV industry magazine Broadcast: ‘In-boxes regularly fill with emails containing clips from entertainment sites such as YouTube and Bebo, but very few of us have the time to sit through them.

‘LennyHenry.tv foes that for you and provides a half-hour burst of the funniest clips in a digestable and entertaining format.’

Each week Henry will be joined by a celebrity guest, who will introduce their own clips.
