People's Choice nominees out
Adam Sandler, Will Ferrell and Robin Williams are to battle it out for the title of funniest male star at America’s People’s Choice Awards in the new year.In the female category, former Seinfeld star Julia Louis-Dreyfus is up against Queen Latifah and Ellen DeGeneres.
DeGeneres has also been nominated for best talk-show host alongside Jay Leno and Oprah Winfrey.
Meanwhile, My Name Is Earl, King Of Queens and Two And A Half Men are in the running for best TV comedy.
There’s a separate section for best animated TV comedy, whose nominees are Family Guy, King of the Hill and The Simpsons.
A second round of nominees for categories including best new TV comedy will be announced later.
The public can vote for the winners online at pcavote.com. The winners will be announced on January 9.
