...and he can act, too

Eddie winner Nichol scoops Stage award

Phil Nichol has topped winning comedy’s biggest prize – by scooping a prestigious acting award.

This year’s if.comeddie award winner has been named best actor at the Fringe for his starring role in Talk Radio.

The play, directed by Stewart Lee, was also produced by Nichol’s newly formed Comedians’ Theatre Company.

Daniel Kitson’s increasing interest in theatre was also hailed by the actors’ newspaper.

His Traverse Theatre production, C-90, about a man responsible for archiving discarded compilation tapes, was named best solo show by the judges.
