Jagger, the sitcom star?

Mick 'in talks' over US comedy

Mick Jagger is set to appear in a pivotal role in a new American sitcom.

The rock star is reportedly in negotiations over the appearance in a still-untitled series for the ABC network.

The show will revolve around a group of New York blue-collar workers who decide to rob a celebrity, which is where Jagger comes in.

The show was originally titled I Want to Rob Jeff Goldblum, even though Goldblum was never going to be part of it.

Now, the Hollywood Reporter reveals that Jagger has been approached for the key role.

He would only appear in a few scenes, and his name is not expected to be in the title, but he is crucial to the plotline as the target of the planned robbery.

He is mentioned numerous times in the scenes that already have been filmed, the trade paper reports.

If Jagger does sign on, he will join Elton John in working on an ABC comedy. John’s show Him And Us is currently in the pilot stage.
