Paramount gets Stacked

UK deal for Pamela Anderson sitcom

The Paramount Comedy Channel has bought the rights to Pamela Anderson’s new sitcom, Stacked.

In the show, the former Baywatch babe plays Skyler Dayton, a jaded socialite who takes a job in a bookshop.

The show airs on Fox in the US, where it has just been recommissioned for a second series.

Paramount has also bought the rights to screen Kitchen Confidential, the latest project from Sex and the City creator Darren Star, in the UK.

The deals follow a recent agreement to air Chris Rock’s sitcom Everybody Hates Chris after Five has aired it on terrestrial TV.

Paramount's managing director Heather Jones, who bought the series at the recent LA screenings, said: 'The quality of comedy from the screenings this year was extremely high and I had a most entertaining shopping spree. Each of these shows complements our existing schedule and will support our position as the only UK channel dedicated to comedy.”
