Gimme 7

Get classic comedies on demand

BBC7's classic radio comedies will be available on demand from Monday.

Its programmes are to be featured in a slimmed-down version of the BBC's popular Listen Again feature, which stores audio content online for internet users to call up at their convenience.

Programmes including Round The Horne, Little Britain, Hancocks Half Hour and The Goon Show will be added to the audio on demand library a day after transmission and be removed again five days later for copyright reasons.

The feature has already proved popular with programming across the BBC's other radio stations, despite the demand on bandwidth.

BBC7 offers around seven hours of archive comedy a day, alongside children's programming and drama.
