Peter's stand-up to get C4 airing

Channel 4 is to broadcast Peter Kay's stand-up show this summer.

His performance at the Manchester Evening News Arena which has not been released on video - will be aired in June.

He sold out the 9,000-seat venue in minutes when he performed there as the final gig in his 180-date Mum Wants A Bunglaow tour, which sold more than 250,000 tickets in total.

And the venue had a special resonance for the Phoenix Nights star, as he once worked there as a steward.

Channel 4 will air a 60-minute version of the live show as part of its spring line-up, announced today.

Bo Selecta also returns for a third series.
