Comic stars opposite Humperdinck

Peter Kay's latest beer advert has been unveiled.

The comic stars opposite Englebert Humperdinck in the new advert for John Smith's bitter.

The crooner is performing his classic Release Me in a Las Vegas nightclub when Kay comes back from the bar carrying a tray of beer and cocktails.

As the singer pauses before the final notes, Kay chimes in with the last word: "Go!", before telling Humperdinck to carry on.

The advert follows the previous 'Ave It! and Top Bombing campaigns that made Kay's name.

The comic said: "The ad is cracking with a very funny script which gives me the chance to simply play myself. All in all, it's a dream job."
