Eric to tour North America

Eric Idle is to to tour North America this autumn.

The new Greedy Bastard Tour follows the success of his 2000 show Eric Idle Exploits Monty Python.

It is described as an evening of songs, skits and skirts from a "semi-legendary quasi-entertainer".

All the dates have not yet been announced, but the tour will start in Montreal on October 1 and end in Los Angeles on December 20.

Musician John du Prez and other guests will join him on the show, which will feature new material from his latest Rutland Isles CD as well as Python favorites.

In his last tour, he played 31 gigs to over 50,000 people.
