O'Grady to play Child Catcher

Lily Savage creator Paul O'Grady is to play The Child Catcher in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The 47-year-old Blankety Blank host takes on the sinister West End role for 12 weeks from September 16.

Richard O'Brien is currently playing the role to packed houses at the London Palladium.

O'Grady suffered a heart attack in April, but has since returned to work.

His previous stage experience includes roles in Annie and the musical version of Prisoner Cell Block H.
