Julian to tred West End boards

Julian Clary is to join the cast of Boy George's West End musical Taboo.

The comedian will takes over the role of the performance artist Leigh Bowery from September 9.

The part is currently played by stand-up comic and former Neighbours star Mark Little.

Boy George has previously played the part himself, and will be returning to it from August 5 until Clary tales over.

Bowery was a fashion designer, legendary nightclubber, performance artist and aspiring pop-star, who died in 1994.
