Sitcom cameo for David

David Beckham is set to appear in a new BBC sitcom.

The injured England skipper is one of several sporting stars being lined up for cameo roles in Trevor's World Of Sport.

The series revolves a top sporting agent, based on real-life deal-maker Jon Holmes.

Drop The Dead Donkey star Neil Pearson will take the title role, the Daily Record reports.

Holmes, whose clients include Michael Owen, Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker is technical adviser for the show
