Festival announces 120 gigs

The full line-up of next month's Leicester Comedy Festival has been announced.

The event comprises more than 120 shows - including a rare live appearance from Norman Wisdom, pictured, one of the festival's patrons.

Other comics lined up to appear include Ross Noble, Toby Foster, Tim Vine, Scott Capurro, Mitch Benn, Andy Parsons and Perrier winner Garth Marenghi.

There are special themed nights based around gay, Asian and black acts, and the annual new comic competition that has previously been won by the likes of Johnny Vegas and Jo Enright.

The event, the ninth, will take place from February 8 to 17.

More information will soon be available on the official website, although it is not live yet.
