Cast 'to stay together for series 9'

Friends could run for another series after all, because its stars' movie careers have failed to take off.

The eighth series currently showing in the US was destined to be the last, as the cast felt they had done enough.

But new reports claim that Jennifer Aniston (pictured), Courteney Cox Arquette, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry could sign up for another season at their current rate of $1million an episode

According to imdb.com, a Friends crew member said:, "They've pretty much decided that since their movie careers aren't exactly taking off, they'll do another season."

"They know they have a pretty good thing."
