New Only Fools plot revealed

Del Trotter is to be a contestant on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? in the new Only Fools And Horses Christmas special.

The episode involves unprecedented co-operation between the BBC and ITV.

Chris Tarrant will quiz wideboy Del, whose catchphrase is "This time next year we'll be millionaires", while brother Rodney sits in the audience.

Writer John Sullivan joked: "There won't be any coughs from Rodders."

"For the two rival channels to get together is ground-breaking stuff," he told The Sun.

BBC1 is spending £3million on the return of the Trotters

The last Only Fools episode, when Del and Rodney did become millionaires, attracted 24million viewers five years ago.

It's believed that they will have lost their fortune in the intervening years
