O'Rourke joins sketch outfit

Stand-up Meryl O'Rourke has joined the Ubersausage sketch team.

The group put out an appeal through Chortle to find a new female member after performer Beth Sheldon quit to go to drama school last month.

O'Rourke will now join the four male members of the team for shows in London this year and at next year's Edinburgh Fringe.

Ciaran Murtagh, who founded Ubersausage three years ago, said: "She is lovely, talented and will no doubt add some much-needed femininity to the group."
