Stewart Lee turns indie singer

Comic joins The Girl With The Replaceable Head on stage

comedyStewart Lee joined indie band The Girl With The Replaceable Head on stage last night.

The band features Lindy Morrison, former drummer of Australian outfit The Go-Betweens, and Lee sang a cover of their track Eight Pictures.

The moment was captured by a fan in the audience of the Waiting Room in Crouch End, North London, near to Lee’s home.

Lee is a devoted music fan who previously reviewed albums for the Sunday Times, made the documentary King Rocker about Birmingham post-punk band The Nightingales, and lent his ‘coming over here…’ stand-up routine to an Asian Dub Foundation track in 2020.
