A podcast worth going out for?
Comedians launch a show about their struggles to socialise
Stand-up comedians Harriet Dyer, Lindsey Santoro and Amy Mason are launching a podcast about why it's so hard to leave the house.
The trio’s series Social Moths starts on February 1 and covers their personal struggles to socialise,
Each say they face their own barriers to getting out – from being a lone parent, having bipolar disorder and ADHD, or phone addiction.
'I love these women and it's a joy to spend time with them both,' says Dyer.
Santoro adds: 'Honestly we are having an absolute hoot. And getting out the house.'
Each episode will feature listener dilemmas sent in via social media and email, alongside updates on the hosts' own attempts at socialising. They'll also set themselves weekly challenges, from meeting an old friend for coffee to booking a smear test.
'I'm delighted to be making something with two of the funniest women in the world,' says Mason. 'Listeners are in for a treat.'
The podcast will be available weekly on all platforms, including YouTube.
• The 15th series of Ed Gamble and James Acaster's podcast Off Menu kicks off tomorrow (Wednesday January 21), it has been announced. Episodes will be released weekly.
