Edinburgh Fringe comedian Helen Bauer shares her Perfect Playlist...

Sarah Silverman

The first time I saw Sarah Silverman, I am sorry to say, was not a life changing moment. I was in a cinema in Basingstoke and she was playing Ned Schneebly’s girlfriend in School of Rock and I was just thinking, ‘can they stop talking so the kids can sing!’

It took many more years before I fully came to realise that Ned Schneebly’s girlfriend is a legend and completely fall under her spell. Sarah Silverman has the funniest specials out there and I will never get tired of her funny take on the world.

Kath and Kim

Two of the funniest and most awful comedy characters of all time, and they have my whole heart. Not only do they make the relationship of mother-daughter a fun one. but they also celebrate it fully. It is such a big-hearted, silly comedy.

I love the pure chaos of these two characters and the world they live in.

Jordan Brookes

Every comedian has a comedian who they drop everything to get a ticket for. For me, that comic is Jordan Brookes.

Every show Jordan has released is so funny and thought-provoking, it is like he is making a whole different genre of comedy from the rest of us, and I love it. If you haven’t seen Jordan, what have you been doing? Grab a ticket now, you really need to see him live.

Tim Robinson

If you want silly fun and big laughs, all you want to do is watch Tim Robinson sketches online, or his Netflix show I Think You Should Leave. Just go watch it now and then thank me for recommending it, and Tim for making it, later.

Hannibal Buress

As a comedian there is something so lush about watching a comedian who is so far removed from you that you can just enjoy the show without those intrusive thoughts of ,‘Oh god why didn’t I think of that’ or, ‘Shit! I have a bit like that’.

Hannibal Buress is a true original, his mind works so differently from so many other people's, and I love the way he sees the world.

He can turn everything into a joke and that’s a skill I will always be obsessed with!

Jayde Adams

You have to see this absolute powerhouse of a performer to believe it, Jayde is not only ridiculously funny and talented but she has that amazing quality of feeling like she is talking just to you.

I have been a big fan of Jayde’s for years and cannot wait to see what she makes next, but until then enjoy her Amazon special Serious Black Jumper.

Helen Bauer’s new stand-up show Madam Good Tit is at the Pleasance Courtyard Bunker at 5.40pm
