'I always like to get a party started'
Susan Calman is to front this year’s BBC Scotland Hogmanay output, the broadcaster has announced.
She will be joined by fellow comic Des Clarke and presenter Amy Irons to see in the new year.
Susan Calman’s (Not Quite) End Of Year Show, which will start at 11.30pm on both the BBC Scotland channel and BBC One Scotland, will feature traditional and popular music, including Travis.
Calman – who is replacing veteran presenter Jackie Bird in the prestigious slot – said: ‘Hogmanay is such an important occasion across the country and I’m delighted to be on hand to help usher in the New Year.
‘It’s going to be a fun night packed with great comedy, entertainment and music. I always like to get a party started.’
The show is being recorded on November 26. Audience tickets are available here.
