BIRMINGHAM: Gary Delaney heads a great bill at the Glee tonight, along with circuit favourites Scott Bennett and Josh Pugh – all three of whom have been on Live At The Apollo – plus up-and-coming Muhsin Yesilada, a former Chortle Student Comedy Award finalist.

DUBLIN: Jamaican-born comic and internet hit Dale Elliott Jr begins a tour of these islands at the Workmans Club with other gig coming up at Leeds City Varieties, Soho Theatre Walthamstow, Reading South Street Arts Centre, Manchester New Century Hal, Birmingham O2 Institute, Indigo at The O2 in London and Bristol's Redgrave Theatre

LONDON: South African comedian and former Daily Show host Trevor Noah is at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith all week, presenting his latest material combining personal storytelling and global perspective. Tickets.

Tuesday June 24

LONDON: They Seem Nice offers four nights of top-flight improv comedy at the Soho Theatre from today. Depending on which day you go, the cast will feature some of Emma Sidi, Kiell Smith-Bynoe, Steen Raskopoulos, Lara Ricote, Graham Dickson, Lola-Rose Maxwell and Joseph Moore. 

DUBLIN: The city's annual marquee-based comedy festival again takes over Iveagh Gardens for the best part of a week, this time sponsored by Paddy Power – with other events across Dublin's regular comedy rooms. Those taking part include Jason Byrne, Tommy Tiernan, Fern Brady, Deirdre O'Kane and Daniel Sloss. All the info on their website.

LONDON: Knock2Bag at Hackney's Moth Club offers another line-up of some of the capital's coolest comics, headed by Phil Wang and including Amy Matthews, Ania Magliano, Gabriel Ebulue, Jin Hao Li, Ray Badran and Friday Night Dinner's Tom Rosenthal.

Thursday June 26

MANCHESTER: American comedy A-lister Wanda Sykes makes a rare UK and Ireland visit. She's known for recurring roles in The New Adventures of Old Christine and Curb Your Enthusiasm – but mainly for a nearly 40-year stand-up career. She's at New Century Hall tonight with her Please & Thank You tour, the Royal Festival Hall on London's Southbank tomorrow, Brighton Dome on Sunday and Dublin Ambassadors Theatre on Monday.

LICHFIELD: Offering insight through poetic absurdity, Dylan Moran headlines the Garrick, with fine support from Kate Lucas and Tadiwa Mahlunge.

POTTERS BAR: Four headlines in one at the Wyllyotts Theatre, with the excellent mix of Harriet Kemsley, Mark Watson, Babatunde Aléshé and Laura Lexx.

Friday June 27

LONDON: The PHB Free Fringe is hosting a weekend of gigs at Colab Tower, behind the Globe Theatre in Southwark, as a fundraiser for the Edinburgh enterprise. Sixty hour-long shows kick off at 6pm today – all, of course, free with donations at the end. Those taking part include Mark Simmons, Mark Thomas, Rob Auton, Mark Silcox, Heidi Regan, Mary O'Connell and many more. Listings.

LONDON: Down-and-dirty US comedian and podcaster Jim Norton and fellow stand-up veteran Jim Florentine are in the UK for three dates of their two-hander, American Trash, starting at the Leicester Square Theatre today.
