Channel 4 revival also showcases new comedians

Harry Enfield is to return to Friday Night Live when the Channel 4 show is revived later this month.

The comic – who became a star when his characters Stavros and Loadsamoney were introduced on the programme in the 1980s – will be reunited with previously announced host Ben Elton for the one-off.

Julian Clary and Jo Brand from the original series will also be returning, put more contemporary acts  Rosie Jones, Mawaan Rizwan, Jordan Gray and Edinburgh Comedy Award winner Sam Campbell. 

Impressionist Ronni Ancona and Mercury Prize nominee Self Esteem complete the line-up.

The 90-minute special will kick off Channel 4's Truth and Dare season to mark the broadcaster’s 40th anniversary, and airs on Friday October 21 at 9pm.
