...plus a showcase of disabled comedy talent

Radio 4 has commissioned stand-up shows from Josie Long and Jen Brister – plus a showcase of disabled comedy acts.

The latter, entitled The Thirteen Million Club, follows a previous episode made in 2020, in which Lost Voice Guy Lee Ridley introduced TanyaLee Davis, Don Biswas and Jamie McDonald.

The new episode will be hosted by Great British Bake Off contestant Briony May Williams and recorded at the Backyard Comedy Club in London next week.

And on May 22, Long will record her show What’s Next? – an adaptation of her tour show Tender – at the Stand in Glasgow

The next day, Jen Brister tapes her half-hour, entitled Waves, about wild swimming at the Ironworks Studio in Brighton.

All three are being made by Impatient Productions, the company run by comedian Mark Watson and producer Lianne Coop. In an email to fans, Watson said: ‘This triple commission is a new high in Impatient’s content-providing CV and we would love you to be there’.

Free tickets to all the shows are available from Lost In TV.
