Mammoth comedy gig for Grenfell Tower victims

With McIntyre, Flanagan, Bridges and more

A huge comedy benefit has been announced for victims of the Grenfell Tower fire.

Michael McIntyre, Kevin Bridges, Alan Carr and Micky Flanagan are among the stars performing at the Eventim Apollo on Tuesday June 27 in aid of those affected by the tragedy.

Also on the bill are Jo Brand, Rob Beckett, Josh Widdicombe, Jon Richardson, Katherine Ryan, Seann Walsh, Adam Hills and Russell Kane.

The event has been hastily organised by giant comedy agency Off The Kerb, which represents most  of the acts performing.

At least 17 people died in the inferno, although  that figure is expected to rise, as fire chiefs do not expect to find any more survivors in the burnt-out tower in north Kensington.

Tickets for the benefit, priced £50 plus booking fee, go on sale at 10am tomorrow. All proceeds go to  Grenfell Tower Appeal administered by The Kensington & Chelsea Foundation.

It follows another gig to be held at  Battersea Arts Centre on Monday, hosted by  Daniel Kitson and featuring Jeremy Hardy, Josie Long, Heydon Prowse, Mark Thomas and Imran Yusuf which has sold out within a day.
