Ardal O’Hanlon is to voice a cute monster in a new animated Halloween show for Sky Kids.
The comic plays the lead role of Gary in The Ghastly Ghoul, who doesn’t believe he’s scary enough, so disguises himself as something more terrifying to enter the human world.
There he forms a friendship with a young girl Beatrix who is facing her own fears around Halloween, as they try to find a way to get Gary home.

It is produced by studios Lupus Films (The Tiger Who Came to Tea) and Dublin based Dream Logic (The Christmas Letter).
The Ghastly Ghoul is one of four new Halloween shows revealed by Sky Kids today. The others are MC Grammar’s Halloween Party (14 October, age 5+), KIDZ BOP Haunted Halloween (21 October, 8+) and Tom Gates: A Monster Halloween (24 October, 7+), featuring the YouTuber DanTDM.
