Comics heading for Oz fests

Dylan Moran, Sean Hughes, Danny Bhoy, Ardal O'Hanlon, Ross Noble and Mark Watson are among the comics heading down under next month for festivals in Adelaide and Melbourne.

All will play both the Adelaide Fringe, which runs from March 8 to 31, and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival, from April 4 to 29.

Other international acts announced at the Adelaide festival today include Arj Barker, Des Bishop, Tim Minchin, Charlie Pickering and the Umbilical Brothers

Stephen K Amos will headline a 'best of the Edinburgh fest' showcase alongside Ireland's Maeve Higgins and Melbourne's Asher Treleaven - as well as hosting a weekly chat show.

Another Best Of The Fest showcase features Newcastle's Dave Johns, New York's Eddie Ifft and Andrew Stanley from Ireland. And UK circuit regulars Dan Willis and Micky D will also be performing their own shows.

At the Melbourne festival, which has not yet revealed its full programme, Ed Byrne and Rhod Gilbert will be joining the international line-up, while Adam Hills will unveil his new stand-up show, Joymonger.
